Know Before You Go- Matinee
Join us for Pops I: Home for the Holidays Matinee at 3:00PM at the Abilene Convention Center, featuring Niki Scalera, Samuel Cook, and the Abilene Chamber Singers!
There are several items that we’d like you to know in advance of Saturday’s performance:
PARKING
The main parking lot at the convention center is located on the North side of the
building and is free to park. Handicapped parking is limited so we recommend getting there early. Vehicle access on North 6th Street is blocked due to construction, so we recommend parking in the main parking lot.
ENTERING
There are four entrances to the theater, two on the north side and two on the south side of the Convention Center. Each will have a Belle or Beau scanning tickets as you enter.
WILL CALL
If you have pre-purchased tickets, you may pick up your tickets at the Box Office located in the foyer of the Convention Center. The Box Office will open at 1:00pm for the 3:00pm performance.
E-TICKETS
When purchasing tickets online and selecting the eticket delivery method you will
receive one email. This email will contain the order confirmation and the PDFs will be attached at the bottom of the email. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder. You can also CLICK HERE and scroll down just after the seating chart and click “Click here to resend tickets” to input the email you used to initially place the order.

WALKUPS
Walk up tickets will be available for purchase in the foyer. Please note that the Box Office will close 30 minutes after the start of the concert.
POINSETTIA FUNDRAISER
As part of the Abilene Philharmonic Guild’s Fundraiser, there will be poinsettias available for purchase!
If you want to pre purchase a poinsettia for delivery, CLICK HERE. Deadline to purchase online is Friday, December 2nd.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
Unfortunately, due to new restrictions in place by the Convention Center, we are unable to offer Food & Beverages for purchase. You may bring in your own sealed water bottles, and there are several water fountains located in the lobby.
CONCERT TIME
The performance will last approximately 1 hour with no intermission. Please try to arrive at least thirty minutes before the concert start time of 3:00 PM.
This leaves time for parking, picking up tickets, getting your ticket scanned, visiting the restroom and finding your seat. If you arrive late you will be seated as soon as there is an appropriate pause in the performance.
ATTIRE
There are as many ways of dressing as there are people who come to concerts. Most aim for business casual or dressier, but ultimately the symphony is for everyone, wear what makes you comfortable.
STUDENT TICKETS
Student’s ages 6 through 18 can enjoy any Philharmonic concerts for only $5.00.
The Family Friendly Matinee at 3PM will be perfect for children 5 and under!
Children 5 and under are free for this concert!
LOBBY SPECIAL GUESTS
There will be additional fun in the lobby before the concert, so be sure to arrive a bit early in advance of the performance! Starting at 2:00 PM, Santa Claus is coming to town to greet guests and spark that holiday spirit! You definitely don’t want to miss this!
HEADS UP
The seating for this concert is general admission which means you can sit anywhere in rows B-P. Rows Q-Z and the balcony will be closed off.
If you need assistance with avoiding the stairs, you can enter through the North or South Lower Concourses. Those entrances will lead you directly to rows I, J, and K. There are no steps to Row J, but there is a step down to Row I and a step up to row K.
