Know Before You Go

Join us for our second Pops Concert: The Music of John Williams at the Abilene Convention Center! This concert is brought to you by Premiere Cinemas and Joe & Amanda Biles.

There are several items that we’d like you to know in advance of the performance:

PARKING

The main parking lot at the convention center is located on the North side of the building and is free to park. Handicapped parking is limited, so we recommend getting there early.

ENTERING

The theater has four entrances, two on the north side and two on the south side of the Convention Center. Each will have a Belle or Beau scanning tickets as you enter.

There is no elevator to the balcony. If you happened to purchase tickets to take the elevator, please email speters@abilenephilharmonic.org, and she will move you to the orchestra floor.

The doors to the lobby will open at 6:30 PM. The doors to the concert hall will open at 7:00 PM.

If you have pre-purchased tickets, you may pick up your tickets at the Box Office located in the foyer of the Convention Center. The Box Office will open at 5:30 PM for the 7:30 PM performance.

E-TICKETS

When purchasing tickets online and selecting the eticket delivery method, you will receive one email. This email will contain the order confirmation, and the PDFs will be attached at the bottom. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder. You can also CLICK HERE and scroll down just after the seating chart and click “Click here to resend tickets” to input the email you used to place the order initially. You can also add your tickets to your Apple Wallet and Google Wallet!

Walk-up tickets will be available for purchase in the foyer. Please note that the Box Office will close at 8:00pm.

CONCERT TIME

The performance will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. Please try to arrive at least thirty minutes before the concert start time of 7:30 PM.

This leaves time for parking, picking up tickets, scanning your ticket, visiting the restroom, and finding your seat. If you arrive late, you will be seated as soon as there is an appropriate pause in the performance. **There is no elevator access to the balcony seating**

KAO LOUNGE & POPCORN!

There will be drinks available for purchase by KAO Lounge in the lobby from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM and during intermission. They will have water and other nonalcoholic beverages as well. 

Our Concert Sponsor, Premiere Cinemas, will sell popcorn in the lobby to enhance your movie music experience. They will only accept cash!

There are as many ways of dressing as there are people who come to concerts. Most aim for business casual or dressier, but ultimately, the symphony is for everyone; wear what makes you comfortable. Feel free to even wear your favorite John Williams movie t-shirt!

STUDENT TICKETS

Students ages 6 through 18 can enjoy any Philharmonic concerts for only $9.00.

College students can get tickets for $5.00 (cash) or $7.50 (card) the night of the event. A valid college ID must be presented. 

However, no children under 6 will be allowed in the concert hall. No children on laps; everyone must have a seat.

MOVIE TRIVIA WITH MAESTRO ITKIN

There will be a table in the lobby where you can be entered in a drawing to play Movie Trivia with Maestro Itkin on stage. Sign up to test your knowledge!
