The Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to announce the appointment of Liberty-Grace Bland as its new Executive Director.

As the Abilene Philharmonic sets the stage for their second Pops concert of the 2023-2024 season, they pay tribute to Maestro John Williams, a musical luminary whose contributions to the world of film scores have become synonymous with cinematic magic.

In a world premiere and backed by a full orchestra, this show features traditional Irish music, song and dance in an engaging performance rich in humor and boundless energy. Originally from Sligo, Ireland, this folk ensemble tells the story of emigration to America and how they stayed in touch with people and customs they left behind.

Daniel del Pino is one of the leading Spanish concert pianists in the international scene. He has performed in all five continents. His performances have been heard in the most prestigious venues all over Europe

Join us as we open the 2023-24 Concert Season with From Darkness to Light! The season opens with Four Sea Interludes from the haunting opera Peter Grimes, a tale of small town gossip with dire consequences. It closes with one of Johannes Brahms’ most jovial works for orchestr
