An Abilene Philharmonic volunteer is an individual who chooses to give his or her time and talents as part of a team, with dedication, enthusiasm, and flexibility.

BOX OFFICE VOLUNTEER
Join our team as a Box Office Volunteer and meet exciting people who share your passion for live music, while giving back to the community.
- REQUIREMENTS TO WORK IN THE BOX OFFICE
- Must be 18 years or older
- Attend a Training Session
- Comply with all standards and policies as provided in the volunteer manual
STAGE ASSISTANCE
Volunteers who assist with stage management enjoy being behind the scenes with guest artists and musicians, helping with transportation, auditions, and concert and special event logistics.
OFFICE ASSISTANCE
Do you enjoy more tedious task and understand how important that are to an organization? These tasks can include filing, data management, bulk mailers, orchestra library assistance, and more!
INTERNSHIPS
Interns can support every aspect of the Philharmonic’s operations.
HOUSE A MUSICIAN
Abilene hosts open their homes on concert weekends for musicians who come from out of town. These hosts allow us to recruit fine players while lowering production costs. Many patrons build a lasting relationship with these musicians and hosting them for a weekend becomes a tradition.
BE AN USHER
Ushers are an important part of every performance. You’ll help welcome our audiences, make them feel at home and ensure that everything runs smoothly from lights up to curtains down.
