The Discover Music Series has been an integral part of the Abilene Philharmonic’s season since 1955. Held annually at the Abilene Convention Center, the series reaches approximately 6,500 area students in grades 4th & 5th – including public, private and home-school. Our Music Director designs student-friendly programs alongside a local elementary music specialist who creates the Teacher’s Guide curriculum book, integrating with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) guidelines.
