Bachtoberfest fun

Join us for a night filled with drinks, live music, and more at the Grace Museum for Bachtoberfest. It is planned for October 28, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. To truly capture the essence of Oktoberfest, the event will be held outside primarily in the beautiful courtyard and scenic rooftop There is a contingency plan if gusty winds or storms roll in. Everything will be moved to the spacious ballroom and the festivities will continue to flow, as well as the libations. The show must go on.

Speaking of libations, while beer is the mainstay of Bachtoberfest there will be other options for palates that desire something less hoppy. A small selection of wine and mixed drinks will be available to make sure all appetites are whet and everybody has a good time.

This ain’t Salieri’s event. We have curated lively side entertainment for those wanting to participate. A raffle will be held for those wanting to take a chance. Cornhole for those wanting to test their aim. A steinhoist competition for those wanting to showcase their stamina. It is a traditional strength contest in which competitors hold a full one-liter beer stein out in front of their bodies with a straight arm, parallel to the ground. The last person standing is the winner.

Let’s not forget the music. It’s time to party like it’s 1750! Maestro Itkin will set the ambiance with a string orchestra performing famous works from Bach’s repertoire. Grab a seat and take it all in or enjoy it while imbibing local brews and catching up with friends. This event is free for Mozart Level donors and up, or single tickets $40 per person. Must be 21+

Proceeds from this event will support the APO Education and Community Engagement programs.
